BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is a corded appliance that features a 4.4 amps (~528 Watts) motor which is powerful (and loud) enough to suck all types of messes out of hard floors and area rugs. The microfiber and nylon brush sweeps effectively, provided it’s not tangled with pet hair. You get two modes here – Hard Floor mode for hard floors and Area Rug mode for area rugs.
Tineco iFLOOR is a cordless appliance driven by a rechargeable 21.6V, 2,500 mAh battery. A 120W motor delivers sufficient suction to extract all types of stains out of hard floors. However, unlike CrossWave, it’s not much effective on area rugs. Here also you get two modes – normal wash mode for regular vacuuming and mopping, and Spot mode for tackling tough stains.
My Verdict: It would have been a tie but since BISSELL CrossWave works on area rugs and Tineco iFLOOR doesn’t, the former gains an edge here.
Ease of Use
Using BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is a no-nonsense task. You just have to fill the solution tank (0.83L) with water and detergent, plug in the cord (25-ft), decline the head by pressing the foot paddle, and move the machine forward and backward, pressing the trigger for a wet pass and relieving it for a dry pass. The swiveling head makes it easier to move around comfortably.
Tineco iFLOOR takes ease of use to another level because it’s a cordless appliance. Hence, unlike CrossWave, you don’t have to struggle with the cord at all. The rechargeable battery delivers a run-time of 22 minutes and takes about 4.5 hours to charge completely. Solution tank capacity of 0.55L is relatively less but dirty water tank capacity is almost the same in both. Except for these differences, iFLOOR functions the same way as the CrossWave.
For some, a continuous power supply is more important than cordless convenience. In that case, BISSELL CrossWave is a better option for you. But for quick chores without any hassle, Tineco iFLOOR is the best buy.
My Verdict: Tineco iFLOOR wins here for its cordless functioning.
Ease of Maintenance
All wet/dry vacuum mops demand a lot of maintenance. And this applies to both of these appliances. After every cleaning session, you’ll have to rinse and wash the dirty water tank (DWT), floater, filter, brush roll, and brush roll cover. Besides, you’ll have to wipe the brush roll chamber and the opening below the DWT.
The brush rolls available with CrossWave and iFLOOR attract lots of pet hair that you must clean regularly to avoid tangling in the brush roll and clogging in the tank. With iFLOOR, you get a 3-in-1 cleaning tool to clean DWT and the brush roll. With CrossWave, you’ll have to find a way to clean the roll.
There’s a self-cleaning mechanism in both appliances. For CrossWave, you can use the rinse & clean out storage tray for self-cleaning. Simply place the appliance on the tray, pour water from the sides, decline the machine, and switch on the Hard Floor mode. For iFLOOR, you can use the self-cleaning storage tray. The procedure remains the same.
My Verdict: Tineco iFLOOR wins for its 3-in-1 cleaning tool. By the way, you get 2-year warranties on both appliances.
BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One weighs around 11.5 lbs and Tineco iFLOOR weighs around 6.5 lbs. Further, iFLOOR is more compact than the CrossWave. Hence, we can conclude that iFLOOR is the undisputed champion here.
But that doesn’t mean it’s hard to carry BISSELL around (might be for senior citizens). Both appliances feature sturdy handles that provide a firm grip while carrying them around the house, shop, or office.
My Verdict: Tineco iFLOOR wins here for its lightweight and compact design.
While BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is a versatile performer suitable for both hard floors and area rugs, Tineco iFLOOR works only on hard floors like laminate, linoleum, vinyl, solid & engineered wood, marble, stone, concrete, tile & grout, and others.
The high-power motor and continuous power supply make CrossWave tackle stains on area rugs. However, don’t expect superior deep cleaning performance. Also, area rugs may take longer than usual to dry completely. If you need something specific for carpets & area rugs, better stick to full-sized carpet cleaners.
My Verdict: BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One is the winner.
Both appliances have their fans and critics.
CrossWave All-in-One is praised for its powerful performance, versatility, ease of use, large-capacity tanks, and sturdy build. At the same time, buyers say it’s too loud, heavy, and misses the edges by a couple of inches.
Tineco iFLOOR is a surprise package for most users. It’s compact and lightweight, sweeps hard floors like a pro, easy to use and maintain, and affordable. Some users wish it could run for a longer duration, clean the edges properly, and work on area rugs, too.
My Verdict: It’s a tie. The winner is the one that suits your requirements.
